Save the Children Action Network is the political voice for kids.
John,
This year, there were days when fighting child hunger, global disasters and poverty felt impossible.
But our advocates refused to back down. I’m beyond proud to share the top 10 victories we championed in 2024 – powered by this unstoppable community of changemakers.
1. SCAN helped secure almost $4 billion in new federal funding for international and domestic nutrition and early education programs and $1.6 billion for early learning and child nutrition programs in 8 states.
2. Your voice defeated ballot measure I 2109 in Washington State, protecting billions in funding for early learning and education programs.
3. With your support, we elected 6 bipartisan state leaders in New Hampshire and Iowa.
4. We encouraged over 258,000 voters to put children’s futures first this election season.
5. Engaged 130 candidates, urging them to prioritize early learning and child hunger programs.
6. Advocates like you held 500 meetings with lawmakers – from state houses to the White House.
7. This year, 3,588 volunteers stepped up for kids and families.
8. We activated 1,147 student advocates nationwide.
9. Together, we sent 930,000 messages to President Biden, Congress, and State Houses.
10. Reached more than 217,000 people through outreach and educational events.
