Dear Stakeholders,

The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) is pleased to share the Medicaid Functional Eligibility Instrument (MFEI) Modernization Newsletter (Volume 1), which provides important updates about the ongoing transformation of the Kansas Intellectual/Developmental Disability (I/DD) Waiver Program (attached below). This edition includes details about the transition to the Medicaid Functional Eligibility Instrument (MFEI-IDD), new rate structures, and our commitment to a person-centered approach to care.

Please find more details on I/DD Waiver Program Modernization webpage [ [link removed] ].
We also want to highlight the following resources now available:

• Updated MFEI Webpage: Featuring the Level of Care (LOC) Tool and other resources to support the implementation of the MFEI-IDD.
• Webinar Video from December 17: This session covered key modernization updates and answered stakeholder questions. You can access the recording here [ [link removed] ].

We encourage you to review these materials and share them with your teams and networks. Your feedback and engagement remain vital as we continue this modernization effort.

Thank you for your dedication to supporting Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Best regards,
