Wishing You a Joyful Holiday Season
Happy holidays!
I send my warmest wishes to all Coloradans and everyone around the world this holiday season. May our holiday celebrations be filled with joy and time well spent with loved ones.
If you’re looking for any last-minute gifts, I encourage you to take a look at the Colorado Proud Gift Guide, featuring unique and Colorado-created gifts from local shops and grocers. This is a great way to shop local and support fellow Coloradans’ small businesses.

Making Government More Efficient
This month, I took a table saw to 208 outdated and unnecessary Executive Orders dating back to 1920.
Over the past several months, our team went through decades of Executive Orders to identify ones that were unnecessary, outdated, wasteful, or obsolete in order to make Colorado’s government more efficient and do away with bureaucratic hurdles.
These included dormant or unnecessary committees and councils like the First Impressions Advisory Council, outdated declarations related to the state’s motor vehicle fleet, van-pooling for state employees, and energy efficiency in state government.

Colorado-based artist Joe Molina created a masterpiece with the rescinded Executive Orders that will be displayed in the Governor’s Office - a reminder of the importance of streamlining government and focusing on policies that truly serve Coloradans.
