Merry Christmas from your friends here at the Oklahoma GOP. Christmas is a time to celebrate with loved ones and savor the moments that last a lifetime. While the days can be long, the years are often far too short. It is important to take time around the holidays to reflect and acknowledge all of the blessings bestowed unto each and every one of us. Christmas is the time when people celebrate the birthday of the Savior Jesus Christ. As scripture says the angels proclaimed at his birth: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." Luke 2:14.While we are thankful for the saving grace God has shown to our nation by turning us from the path of destruction we were on, let us realize true salvation does not come through government, but only through the one true Savior, Jesus Christ.
