At NDWA, we work with leaders who recognize that care is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. Care is the foundation of our families, communities, and economy, and it’s essential to have champions who prioritize caregivers and care workers in national conversations and policies.
That’s why we’re taking a moment to express our gratitude to the Care Champions who have highlighted the care crisis and worked to uplift those most affected. Leaders like President Biden, Vice President Harris and others have called attention to caregiving as a critical issue, helping to ensure that care is treated as essential—not optional.
Their focus on supporting the most vulnerable through the pandemic, making Black maternal health a national priority, standing up for reproductive justice, and calling out the care crisis as an issue that needs immediate attention and resources, reflects the values we fight for every day.
Let’s honor them and other leaders who have helped elevate care as a national priority. Sign our thank-you card to show your appreciation for the Care Champions who understand that care is essential.
These leaders have helped bring care to the forefront, reminding the nation of the millions of family caregivers, childcare providers, and home care workers who help our lives and the economy function.
When leaders name caregiving as vital, it creates momentum for better protections, fair pay, and resources for caregivers and care workers. These champions help amplify the voices of caregivers and ensure that their contributions are valued and respected.
Together, we can continue to push for a future where care is valued, supported, and treated as the cornerstone of our society.
Thanks for all that you do,
Care Team
National Domestic Workers Alliance
Thank you for being a dedicated supporter of the National Domestic Workers Alliance!
We're working day and night to win respect, recognition, and labor rights and protections for the more than 2.5 million nannies, house cleaners, and homecare workers.
The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.
Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
