Dear Friend,
Happy Holidays!
It is my honor to serve as your governor and to wish the people of the great state of Michigan a joyful, happy, and healthy holiday season.
Whether you’re decorating your Christmas tree, lighting the menorah, or setting up your Kwanzaa display, this season is an opportunity to come together and enjoy cherished traditions with friends and family.
Looking back at this year, I am immensely grateful for the contributions every Michigander made to move our state forward. This year, we showed the world what we’re all about in Michigan. We get stuff done. We take care of our community, friends, and family. When we care for each other and work together to accomplish our shared goals for Michigan, there’s nothing we can't do.
Earlier this month, I proclaimed December as Michigan Christmas Tree Month. With over 500 Christmas tree farms across the state, Michigan is one of the top producers of evergreens in the nation with local farmers across our state working hard every year to bring joy into our homes. It’s a reminder of the countless Michiganders, from local Christmas tree farmers to retail workers, who are working hard to make this season special. We are so grateful for all that you do to make the holidays bright.
As we look ahead into the new year, let’s keep working together to build a brighter future for Michigan. I am proud of all that we achieved, and I’m excited for all that’s yet to come.
Wishing you and your loved ones a Happy Holidays!
Sincerely,
|
