The safety and health of our AFSP family is our top priority. As such, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will be hosting our signature Out of the Darkness™ Overnight Walk ([link removed]) as a virtual event, on June 20, 2020. The registration fee and fundraising minimum have been lifted for this one time only.
This event will mark the first-ever Virtual Overnight Experience, and it’s sure to be a special occasion. While the experience of participating in The Overnight this year will look a little different, it will continue to honor loved ones we've lost or who struggle today, and support those affected by suicide.
From June 1 - June 25, registered participants will track their physical and wellness activities while sharing their efforts to raise awareness and funds over social media. Activities might include walking, running, biking, having a #RealConvo, yoga, and mediation. The Virtual Overnight Weekend, June 20 – June 21, will have a hopeful and unique program for participants to experience The Overnight in a new way. A link to a special Event Weekend program will be sent to all registered participants.
Wherever you are, we hope you’ll join us for this extraordinary experience. We may be physically apart, but we are together in the fight to #StopSuicide.
