Hi John, [link removed] [[link removed]]
In Wisconsin, more than 700 people die every year from gun violence. And all of these deaths are preventable.
This summer, the two of us participated in WAVE’s Youth Summer Internship program. (That’s us on the left in the picture). During those eight weeks, we taught others about the importance of gun violence prevention, attended seminars to expand our leadership skills, and hosted a culminating event to honor victims of gun violence in Wisconsin.
We – youth – are the future of this country, and by uniting people of all ages, we can make a change. But we cannot do it alone. Young people need your help. That’s why we are urging you to support our work at WAVE by making a donation today. If you give before the end of the year, your donation will be tripled by generous donors. [[link removed]]
Gun violence is the leading cause of death for kids and teens in America. Is this really the America we want to live in? Everyone deserves to be able to live in a country where they feel safe and aren’t at risk of being shot.
It’s easy to feel hopeless because the issue of gun violence is too overwhelming to battle alone. WAVE is here because there is hope. Universal background checks work, community violence intervention programs work, and extreme risk laws work. YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS, because it’s how we achieve the solutions that work. Gun violence is preventable, and your donation today will help prevent it. [[link removed]]
