Hi John,
As 2024 comes to a close, there is much to reflect on—for No Labels and for the country as a whole.
This year, No Labels became the subject of national conversation through our 2024 Unity Ticket project. We dared to dream big because we believed the American people deserved a real choice—a chance to demand something better.
Though we ultimately chose not to offer our ballot line to a candidate, we sparked an essential debate about the need for better choices for voters and a better way forward for our country. We still believe new and better things are possible, and we will keep fighting for them. The American story has always been written by those who refuse to give up—and we will carry that spirit forward in the work ahead.
This work will be critical as the American people prepare for another term under President Trump, who will face thin majorities in Congress, serious challenges here at home, and growing threats from abroad. The bipartisan House and Senate group that No Labels has organized will be absolutely essential in meeting these challenges head-on.
That reality was made clear to me at our National Meeting earlier this month, where we brought together more than two dozen serious lawmakers and hundreds of citizens like you to lay the groundwork for how the middle can be a force in the next Congress.
We heard lawmakers from both sides of the aisle lift each other up, speak frankly about our nation's challenges, and share their plans for finding bipartisan solutions to issues ranging from immigration and the national debt to permitting reform and securing Social Security.
At a time when partisan loyalty threatens to stand in the way of real progress, it was a breath of fresh air to gather so many committed leaders committed to simply getting things done.
