Dear John,
The Claremont Review of Books ([link removed] ) (CRB) is not just a quarterly publication—it is a vital forum that sustains the conservative intellectual tradition. For nearly 25 years, the CRB has provided a timeless defense of the enduring principles of the American Founding, offering a platform for the foremost conservative thinkers to address the issues of our time.
In an age of superficial analysis, the CRB stands apart. Our contributors engage with the ideas shaping both the future of American conservatism and preserving its past, providing thoughtful, rigorous, and principled arguments that challenge the status quo and offer a vision for a more thoughtful, enduring society.

From time to time, I find myself revisiting some of our most influential pieces, and remain just as excited to read the latest issue. Our archive has withstood the test of time, continuing to shape our understanding of the American Founding and inspiring the next generation of thinkers and leaders, while new articles provide sharp and timely analysis on the current state of affairs.
- America’s Red Shift ([link removed] ) : Our post-election Fall Issue saw our most-read article of the year in Editor Charles R. Kesler’s examination of the political realignment in progress, as Donald Trump gained ground in all parts of the country and among almost all voting sectors.
- The Flight 93 Election ([link removed] ) : Written under a pseudonym by our own Senior Fellow Michael Anton, this classic helped many Americans clearly understand the stakes of the 2016 election. It has stood the test of time, remaining a powerful and frequently referenced touchstone during the 2024 election, as evidenced by it being the second most-read article of 2024. When it debuted in September, 2016, Rush Limbaugh read it in its entirety on air. Eight years later, it has lost none of its power.
- The False Prophets of American Conservatism ([link removed] ) : Authored by the intellectual Godfather of The Claremont Institute, Harry V. Jaffa, this 1998 essay offers deep insights into our present political discontents.
- Covid Catastrophes ([link removed] ) : From the Winter 2024 issue, Jeffrey H. Anderson reviews The Big Fail, condemning the constitutional violations during COVID-19, from lockdowns to religious service bans, and warns of their lasting impact on American freedoms.
Your support ensures that the CRB continues serving as a beacon for conservatives today and as a resource for future generations. Together, we can advance the ideas and ideals that sustain our republic.
