Here’s what I’m most passionate about: encouraging people of faith to participate in and protect our democracy. I know in my bones that it will require a multifaith, multiracial coalition dedicated to justice to make progress on our most pressing issues like affordable housing, healthcare, immigrant justice, childcare, and environmental justice. 

That’s why I joined Nuns on the Bus earlier this year, going from town to town to talk to faith voters about how we can build a new America that cares about each of us. 

The election may be over, but that work doesn’t stop. Faith in Action will continue to build a diverse faith network to face the challenges ahead and win justice for all.

I got on that bus with 15 Catholic sisters and 14 other multifaith and secular leaders to visit 20 cities in 11 states before Election Day. At each stop, I heard from thousands of faith voters like you that you are ready to use your voice and your vote to achieve our collective liberation.

Esto es lo que me apasiona: alentando a las personas de fe a participar en, y proteger, nuestra democracia. Yo siento en los huesos que exigirá que una coalición multirracial dedicada a la justicia avance sobre los asuntos más urgentes tales como vivienda asequible, el cuidado de salud, justicia para los inmigrantes, cuidado infantil, y justicia ambiental.

Por eso me incorporé a Monjas en el Bus a principios de este año, viajando de pueblo a pueblo para hablar con los votantes de fe acerca de cómo podemos crear una América nueva que cuida a cada uno de nosotros.

Puede ser que ya se acabaron las elecciones, pero ese trabajo no para. Fe en Acción seguirá creando una red diversa de fe para enfrentar los desafíos que tenemos por delante y ganar la justicia para todos.
