As the year winds down and we at AAF are getting ready for a holiday break, we’re taking stock of the impact you helped us make during this truly WTF(!!) year. So in the spirit of a Christmas Carol, we would like to introduce you to our Anthony Comstock, a true life Ebenezer Cooch. 

Yes, anti-abortion numbnuts from the House, the Senate, and under every misogynistic rock ASKED THE SUPREME COURT to use Comstock’s archaic 1873 anti-obscenity law to ban medication abortion. 

And because we’re Abortion AF, we sounded this alarm early in the year. We sprung into action and launched our Repeal the Anthony Comstock Act campaign when SCOTUS heard the case in May. 

We worked with Minnesota Senator Tina Smith to promote her bill, the Stop Comstock Act, which included a satirical debate with our very own Anthony Comstock. That debate video got over 500,000 views and has so far helped deliver 50,000 signatures (and counting) to our petition pushing congress to scrap this BS and dangerous law. 

Our awareness raising campaign put the Comstock Act front and center in the national conversation about abortion access, and you helped us make this possible. 

Now we will make sure you have all the info you need to keep up the fight in the new year. 

So however, whenever... Ebenezer Cooch shows up, know we gotchu!
