After a few years of working, Shuiquingel found Identity’s Workforce Development program, which helped her enroll in a Vet Tech certification program. Meanwhile, she redoubled her efforts to master complex veterinary medical information in English and keep up with her full time job.
Identity helped her secure scholarships, so she was able to focus on her studies, complete the work and pass the exam on her first attempt. Identity also arranged a stipend so Shuiquingel could participate in an otherwise unpaid hands-on internship at a veterinary hospital in Gaithersburg; an experience that is required for Vet Tech certification.
Like so many Identity clients, Shuiquingel says Identity took her in, helped her realize her self-worth, and gave her the opportunity to prove herself.
