I just need a quick moment --

Tonight at midnight is our mid-month fundraising deadline, and I wanted to tell you why this one is so important:

• Our team’s research indicates that more voters than ever are going to engage with our campaign after Labor Day, which means we need a strong operation to get our message out;


• August is notoriously one of the most difficult months for online fundraising -- and this month has been no exception;


• Our average donation is $17.40 this week -- which is a little less than our usual average gift. We’re going to need more people to step up for our campaign if we’re going to catch up on our goals.

We need to get back on track by tonight. That’s why I’m asking:

We’re funding our campaign without checks from corporate PACs or federal lobbyists. And unlike some of my opponents, we don’t have a super PAC -- and I’m not a billionaire who can try and buy this election for myself. And I wouldn’t do that even if I could.
