If allowed to proceed, this could have several negative consequences.
John,
Earlier this year, we reached out to you when the U.S. House voted overwhelmingly in support of a bill that will ban TikTok unless it’s sold by its Chinese parent company, ByteDance.
The bill eventually cleared the Senate and was signed into law by President Biden in August.
This week, TikTok filed an emergency lawsuit with the Supreme Court in an effort to overturn the ban before it’s due to take effect on January 19th.
If allowed to proceed, this could have a cascade of negative consequences on our First Amendment rights and freedoms.
But we want to know what you think, John. So can you take a moment to tell us: Should TikTok be banned?
Thank you!
