In a matter of days, North Carolina Republicans will lose their one-vote supermajority… but they’ve done everything they can to strip powers from incoming Democratic leaders like Josh Stein.

In recent years, we’ve seen GOP lawmakers give up any pretense of caring about the real issues facing our state.

Instead, they’ve focused on advancing far-right culture wars and locking down their own power. From enacting ultra-partisan gerrymandering to playing politics over public school funding, Republicans have failed the people they represent — over and over again.

Meanwhile, Democrats like Josh Stein and Roy Cooper have advocated for our public schools and students, expanded access to health care, and done everything possible to protect North Carolinians’ fundamental rights. Josh is ready to keep up the fight on day one.
