Emergencies are never planned. When other sites of care are closed, hospitals are open 24/7 providing around-the-clock mental & psychiatric care, and surgery and trauma units.

As Congress continues to debate budget changes to Medicare and Medicaid, underserved communities access to 24/7 care will feel the effects of these decisions more than other communities in the U.S.
