Friends,

We're on the verge of ending decades of Republican control in Florida and upending the entire congressional redistricting process in November. But in order to win, we need to wake up.

Republicans know their legislative majorities are at stake and their special interest donors are pouring millions into key state races for this upcoming critical election before redistricting. Progressives have let conservatives reap the benefits of gerrymandered maps for the last decade and the last thing we can afford to do is cede competitive state house races to them all over again.

Based on our latest analysis in Florida, which is expected to have 29 congressional districts redrawn in 2021, Democrats are being out-raised by Republicans at a rate of 5:1 in key competitive state house races.

As I told the Tampa Bay Times ([link removed]), "Given the stakes ahead of redistricting, it's very important that we put up a fight and not lose sight of these down-ballot races." We need 14 more seats in the Florida State House to break the GOP's trifecta of power and halt their gerrymandering of the next decade and we've identified several ways Democrats can get the job done. But in order to do so we have to put up a real fight.

With each day of this pandemic, Americans are seeing more and more the many ways state governments impact their daily lives -- literally making life and death decisions that are either driven by science or fiction.

We've made great strides to reclaim our state governments from the conservative movement and with your help, we can finish the job in 2020.

Hope you're staying safe, and thanks for standing with us.

Ben
