John,
PFAS are a class of thousands of toxic lab-made chemicals. They’re pervasive in consumer goods and are a major health concern. President Biden has a final opportunity to take action on our nation’s PFAS crisis by regulating the wastewater of PFAS manufacturers.
A proposed rule is waiting for White House action before it can get out the door. As the clock counts down on President Biden’s term, we need him to act immediately to propose the rule and start the process of regulating PFAS polluters.*
Tell President Biden to stop PFAS pollution now!
Stop PFAS Pollution!
PFAS chemicals don’t really break down on their own in the environment. Corporations have added these “forever chemicals” to a wide range of products, from food packaging to fabrics, causing serious human health risks and contaminating drinking water across the country.
The Biden administration has finalized several historic actions to tackle the PFAS crisis, including polluter pay rules for two types (PFOA and PFOS) and drinking water limits on six types of PFAS.
But right now, there are no nationwide regulations to limit the amount of PFAS in the wastewater that these PFAS manufacturers release into our wastewater systems and waterways.
Now is the time to stop PFAS manufacturers from polluting our water! Urge President Biden to take action today!
President Biden can get the ball rolling by proposing this rule. We can’t leave it up to the Trump administration. PFAS manufacturers should not have a blank slate to pollute our waterways.
We need real regulations to limit their PFAS releases, or else the public will continue to pay the price through expensive treatment plant upgrades, toxic water, and harm to our health.
Tell Biden to get the proposed rule out the door now to rein in toxic PFAS releases from PFAS polluters!
Onward together,
Mary Grant
