[1]The Long Run PAC
You’ve probably heard us and other campaigns talk about the FEC deadline coming up at the end of the year.
We want to pull back the curtain for you and explain what that really means.
The FEC is the Federal Election Commission. At the end of the year, we are legally required to submit all of our fundraising data to the FEC. That includes all the money we’ve raised and spent in 2024.
They then publish those numbers online for all to see — you, us, the press, PACs, campaigns — anyone. And trust us, when those numbers drop a lot of people will be watching.
That’s because the amount of money you raise, and more importantly the number of donors you have, sends a message about the size and strength of your campaign.
Especially with the GOP coming off a national victory, they’re going to be looking to see if progressive groups like ours still have the energy and enthusiasm to fight back.
So when we make a big fuss about our end-of-year FEC deadline, it’s because this is our chance to show we’re ready to stand up to Trump in the weeks and months to come.
That’s why we’re asking you: Make a contribution of whatever you can afford to The Long Run today. Do it before our FEC deadline in just over a week.
