This week, Trump confirmed developing plans to privatize USPS as soon as he gets into the White House. And all of us will pay the price.
Privatizing this essential service would be a direct attack on a public good we all rely on – especially rural communities. USPS’s “universal service obligation” requires it to deliver mail regardless of distance or profitability concerns, which means it is often the only carrier that will deliver to rural parts of the country.
