Friend, the situation for wildlife has never been more critical. One million species are on the verge of extinction, and wildlife populations have dropped by 75% over the last 50 years. The threats are real, and we must act now to save animals like grizzly bears, Florida panthers, North Atlantic right whales, and wolves.

This year, we achieved critical victories for wildlife:

🌎 We convinced Congress to commit to a national biodiversity strategy

🦅 We secured the expansion of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act

🌊 We championed the creation of a new National Marine Sanctuary off California’s coast

🐺 We ignited action to reintroduce wolves to their historic range in Colorado

While we must celebrate our incredible victories, we must recognize that we face significant challenges in 2025, including illegal wolf hunting near Yellowstone, efforts to remove ESA protections for grizzly bears, and anti-conservationists in Congress attempting to undermine essential laws like the Endangered Species Act and National Environmental Policy Act.

With these threats intensifying, we need to strengthen our efforts now. For every donation made by December 31st, the Sierra Club will triple-match your contribution—up to $275,000. This will directly support our ongoing work to protect wildlife, advance critical legislation, and fight harmful environmental policies.
