Memphis-Midsouth DSA
Comrades,
We’re kicking off 2025 with an opportunity to come together, build community, and take direct action to support those in need. On Thursday, January 23 from 6 to 9 pm, join us for a Socialist Social at RP Tracks where we can connect, vent about politics, and deepen our chapter ties.
The next day, on Friday, January 24, you have the opportunity to head to the Asheville, NC area to stand in solidarity with our comrades and engage in real, tangible mutual aid to support disaster relief efforts.
The Asheville area and broader region has faced devastating challenges this past year, leaving many in urgent need of assistance. From January 24 to 26, we’ll roll up our sleeves to help with mucking, gutting, and cleanup efforts. This is a chance to live out our values, showing up for those impacted by disaster while building stronger bonds within our movement.
Please feel out this brief form if you’re interested in going to Asheville!
Why This Matters:
Solidarity isn’t just a word—it’s action. This is a chance to show what socialism might look like in practice: by people helping one another, building systems of care and support in the face of crisis.
If you’re ready to join us for this weekend of connection and action, let us know.
In solidarity,
Your Burgeoning Mutual Aid Committee
