The fight for energy democracy is more urgent than ever. With new political threats to clean energy policies and community control, we’re determined to:

• Hire three full-time staff members to expand and sustain the Energy Democracy Project’s movement-building work.
• Advocate for policy breakthroughs like virtual power plants and debt relief for marginalized communities.
• Host regional and national convenings to deepen the movement's reach and fortify collaborations.
• Continue and expand the work of the REFOCUS campaign to grow a shared narrative for our movement.
• Drive the Debt Jubilee initiative, empowering communities burdened by predatory utility debt.

To accomplish this, we’re setting a bold goal to raise $400,000 by March 31, 2025. These resources will allow us to strengthen our team, our sustainability, our communications infrastructure, our operations, to support local battles, and build resilience against federal attacks on clean energy initiatives.
