Friend,
Congress is down to the wire to vote on their budget resolution today to keep the government open, before they come back in January to vote to fund mass deportations. We must make it clear to our representatives that now is the time to protect our immigrant communities ahead of the next Trump Administration.
All week long, our communities have shown up for each other in the fight to protect one another. We know what best what our communities need: resources for education, housing, and healthcare — not funds to fuel mass deportations. So we’ve taken our demands to Congress in person, by phone, and by email.
📣Haven’t taken action with us this week yet? Send letters to your Members of Congress to demand they defend immigrants today!
Send Your Letters
On Tuesday, immigrant youth braved the D.C. winter cold to deliver our demands to Congress to defend our communities and reject the use of our tax dollars on Trump’s deadly anti-immigrant agenda.
Yesterday, our members and supporters drove hundreds of calls all day long to the offices of our Members of Congress to ensure our demands are heard loud and clear. After you send letters to your representatives, make sure to give them a call, too! 📲 Dial 1-888-369-9935 to be connected.
Thanks for taking action,
Juliana and the rest of the UWD Team
