RFK Jr. is the wrong choice to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. 

As a physician, I am extremely concerned about RFK Jr.’s nomination to lead the agency responsible for American health policy. If confirmed, his anti-vaccine, anti-science positions will put millions of lives at risk. 

Let me be clear: vaccines are settled science. Diseases like polio that once killed thousands of Americans a year have been almost eradicated because of vaccines. Yet despite decades of evidence of vaccine effectiveness, RFK Jr. wants to restrict these lifesaving tools. 

The stakes could not be higher. The Department of Health and Human Services oversees critical agencies like the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the National Institute for Health (NIH). 

Under RFK Jr.’s leadership, these institutions could be severely compromised, leaving our communities vulnerable to preventable diseases and public health emergencies.

It’s not just me raising the alarm. Seventy-five Nobel Prize winners are speaking out against RFK Jr. 's nomination and warning of the catastrophic consequences if he’s confirmed. 

His confirmation would embolden misinformation, dismantle trust in proven medical practices, and ultimately cost lives.

We cannot afford to let this happen. This is a pivotal moment to stand up for science, truth, and the health of our communities.
