After, I joined my colleagues for the first meeting of our Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) caucus. Cutting wasteful spending and lowering our national debt has been one of my top priorities which is why I introduced the Government Offices Realignment and Closure Act (GORAC) last year. I’m excited to continue this work with likeminded individuals who want to bring fiscal responsibility back to Washington.
Then, I headed to the House floor to support the Jenna Quinn Law, which I’m pleased to share was passed unanimously by the House.
Jenna Quinn, a North Texan, has spent the last 20 years advocating for fellow survivors of child sexual abuse and working to ensure stronger protections for children in our area and nationwide. After meeting with Jenna over the summer, I cosponsored this bill to provide students, teachers, and caregivers with resources to better protect children from sexual abuse.
