The next Congress hasn't even started, and we're already dealing with chaos from Trump and the Republican party. We had a bipartisan, bicameral agreement to keep the government open, but Republicans killed it when Elon Musk decided he doesn't like it. Well, he's a multibillionaire who won't be hurt by a government shutdown. It's the hardworking servicemembers, air traffic control officials, and people who rely on food assistance who are pawns in a political game.
We are facing more challenges ahead, but I will always stand up for vulnerable people and communities targeted by the Trump administration and extremist Republicans. I'm in for the fight, and ready for what's next.
Democrats are not immune from criticism, and we have a lot of listening and rebuilding to do. I will always strive to meet people where they are, have the tough conversations, and earn back the support of those who feel left behind.
I'm asking for your support before December 31st because we need everyone in this fight and I hope to have you in our corner as we take on some of the biggest challenges we've ever faced next year. [[link removed]]
With gratitude,
Suzanne
