with what Donald Trump and I agree on:
Donald Trump agrees with me that there are bigger issues in this country
to focus on than which bathroom someone else uses, according to his recent
interview with Time magazine.
That’s where the agreement ends — if you can even believe him on that.
Today marks one month until Donald Trump’s second inauguration, and I hope
he’s true to his word — because there are plenty of things we need to get
done for the American people, and I’m committed to delivering results for
workers and retirees.

No matter who holds power in the White House — or Congress — my priority
remains the same: rolling up my sleeves, diving into the details, and
tackling the challenges that matter most to Delawareans.
From protecting Social Security and Medicare to making the American dream
more affordable and accessible, I’m committed to making bold progress for
the people who count on us.
But we also know what’s coming.
Donald Trump will be sworn back into office in just a few weeks alongside
a new Republican-controlled Congress. We must be prepared to push back
against their harmful policies and expose their distractions for what they
are.
Because they WILL try to distract us from the fact that they’re picking
the pockets of American workers and fleecing seniors by trying to
privatize critical programs like Social Security and Medicare.
I am focused, and I am ready. But I need to know we
have the funds to fight back as soon as Donald Trump sets foot in the Oval
