Hi there, If we haven’t met yet, I’m Ezra — Mercy Corps’ Director of Global Photography. At the end of each year, I share with our community my 10 favorite photos from the thousands that my team and I have created over the past 12 months. Each photo tells a story — a snapshot of the people we meet, the work our teams and partners do, the crises facing families across the globe, and the impact we are able to make, together. I hope you’ll take a few moments to see the 10 photos I’ve chosen this year and learn about some of the remarkable people working to create a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities in the face of the year’s toughest challenges.
I see throughlines of resilience, love, and hope — threads that connect us all, regardless of where we come from or what we’ve endured. They are about something deeper: our shared humanity, our care for our children, our neighbors, and each other. In a world where uncertainty seems to grow by the day, these connections have never felt more important. It fills me with pride to be part of the Mercy Corps team, helping millions of people around the world to adapt and thrive in the face of these challenges.
