Dear Friend,
The Claremont Institute launched The American Mind ([link removed] ) in order to provide a voice to the critical ideas that drive our political life. We are proud to have become a vital force for defending America’s founding principles and advancing this brand of bold conservative thought.
Our work reaches influential corners of the conservative movement, including Vice President-elect JD Vance, who follows and engages with our content to understand the ideas that will shape America's future.
This year, over 1.3 million readers engaged with The American Mind, with articles read more than 3 million times—a testament to the growing impact of our ideas.

The American Mind was front and center during the 2024 election, providing timely and consequential commentary on some of the most important events in American political history. Within 24 hours of the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump in Butler, we convened a symposium titled Assassination Averted ([link removed] ) , bringing together some of the top conservative thinkers to discuss the implications of such an attack on America’s future, such as President Trump’s now-nominee for Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins, in Turning Point, 2024 ([link removed] ) .
Throughout the year, The American Mind has continued to lead conversations around the issues that define our political life, from immigration and border security to opposing DEI ideology to safeguarding election integrity. These articles, authored by thought leaders such as Michael Anton ([link removed] ) , Roger Kimball ([link removed] ) , Darren Beattie ([link removed] ) , and others challenge the status quo, provide bold solutions, and push the boundaries of intellectual discourse to secure the American way of life.
But we are just getting started. As we move into 2025, The American Mind will continue to amplify voices that matter and defend the principles of liberty, free speech, and constitutional order. We can’t do it without the support of readers like you. Your commitment to supporting our work ensures that our ideas will continue to challenge and change the national discourse.
I invite you to join us in this critical mission. Together, we can ensure that The American Mind remains a powerful voice in shaping America’s future.
