It’s been an exciting week, John.

Since announcing my run for DNC Vice Chair earlier this week, we’ve
already seen a major outpouring of support from Democrats all across the
country.

I’m honored that so many people are joining this movement. Thousands of
you have already committed to the fight to bring new perspectives to the
Democratic Party and face the uncomfortable truths that have gone ignored
for far too long.

Democrats have real work to do building a party that listens to and speaks
to young people – and that starts by putting a young person at the DNC
table.

reasons we started Leaders We Deserve are some of the same big reasons I

are the future – but young people are ready to lead now. We need to start
building our bench of young progressives and helping elect them to
positions on the local, state, and federal levels. That’s how young people
can actually shape the future.
