Mike Johnson just made his priorities crystal clear: next year, he wants to eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood. This is outrageous and I will fight against it with everything I've got. Planned Parenthood provides essential health care to millions of Americans. For many women, it’s the only option. Over half of its centers are located in areas where health care providers are already scarce. Removing this funding would devastate access to basic health services like cancer screenings, contraception, and yes, abortion care.

It doesn’t matter that a majority of Americans support a woman’s right to choose. Mike Johnson and Donald Trump have made it clear that they’ll stop at nothing to enact a full, nationwide abortion ban. Gutting Planned Parenthood is a part of that plan.

I’ve stood on the front lines of this fight. I’ve seen how vital Planned Parenthood’s services are. And I’ve seen the lengths Republicans will go to in their crusade to control women.
