A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my subscribers and constituents.

This will be my last newsletter of 2024, I'll be taking some time off for Christmas and so will my staff, it's been a busy year for all of us.

My office will be closed from the 23rd December to the 6th of January. We'll still be answering urgent cases, but anything non-urgent will be seen to in the new year.

I look forward to what next year brings, and I wish you all a very happy festive period.
HIGHLIGHTS
🩻 Musculoskeletal Conditions

On Tuesday I addressed the House in Westminster Hall on the issue of musculoskeletal conditions and what we’re doing to make sure the 17 million people across England living with MSK conditions receive access to the latest treatments, proper support, and improved quality of outcome in both health and work.

We’re setting out a bold agenda under our NHS 10 Year Plan, with care that starts from home and treatment within the community. We want to make sure that we can diagnose bone conditions early in children, making sure they get treatment early.
📮 Denton Sorting Office

It was amazing to visit the Denton Post Office Sorting Office on Saxon Street.

The amount of work that goes into sorting the post is staggering, and it’s always a pleasure to come down and see all the invisible hard work that goes into getting our post where it needs to be.

Thank you to all our posties across the country working hard through the Christmas period, your work does not go unnoticed!
🥫St Marys’ Community Foodbank

Wonderful to pop into St Mary’s Foodbank. They’re doing amazing work feeding those that need it most in our communities.

Thank you to all the remarkable volunteers that give up their time to support the Foodbank, this would not be possible without you!

A special thanks to Brett Casterton and the team from Inology IT who come down each year to support the Foodbank over Christmas, it’s great to see people getting involved.
🏡 Greatwood House Care Home

Fantastic as always to visit the staff and residents at Greatwood House Care Home this morning in Denton.

The team are fantastic, and they’re doing a wonderful job looking after the elderly here at Greatwood.

It was also a pleasure to discuss what we’re doing as a government to strengthen and improve social care across the country.
