John,
One month from today on January 20th, Donald Trump will be inaugurated as President of the United States for the second time.
To make matters worse, he’s filling his administration with billionaires — so far, 13 of them to be exact, and they’re worth more than $450 billion.
It’s the richest presidential cabinet in U.S. history.
This just goes to show how much power corporate interests and billionaires have bought themselves in Washington, D.C., and why it’s crucial for the Democratic Party to finally reject them.
If we’re going to win more elections, take back power from Trump and his MAGA extremists, and make real progress on the issues that impact everyday people, the Party must reject big checks from corporate and Super PACs, and start listening to and rebuilding trust with the working class.
The Democratic establishment got us into this mess by prioritizing their corporate and billionaire donors while ignoring their base, leading to another four years of Trump. If they’re going to get out of it, the Party needs to urgently clean house and return to its working-class roots.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
