Team, with just days to go until the holiday season, the country has been thrown into turmoil by the GOP and Donald Trump – and he hasn’t even entered office yet!
Our nation is on the brink of a partial government shutdown and instead of focusing on a plan that helps the American people – House Republicans are infighting and putting their own politics first! Just look:
FIRST: Donald Trump and Elon Musk ripped apart the original bipartisan short-term government funding deal on social media. Trump even threatened to oppose any Republican who voted for it in a 2026 primary – which all but guaranteed the plan's demise.
THEN: Trump then made his own set of demands and Speaker Mike Johnson – in his latest bid to help save his Speaker job – bent to them and tried to pass Trump’s plan. But it failed last night when 38 Republicans voted against it.
NOW: In disarray and chaos – and with only HOURS left – House Republicans are trying to reach a deal that will “appease the GOP standard bearer’s demands,” while Trump welcomes the shutdown and even said “let it begin now.”
With government funding set to expire at midnight TONIGHT, millions of Americans could face significant disruptions. A shutdown threatens funding for critical services: Over 2 million federal workers could see their paychecks paused, and holiday travelers may encounter unusually long wait times during one of the busiest travel periods of the year as TSA agents and air traffic controllers would be forced to work without pay.
