This month marks 12 years since the devastating mass school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. Just last year, Senate Republicans cruelly BLOCKED a vote to ban assault weapons like the one used by the Sandy Hook shooter and other common-sense gun safety legislation. And after this week’s devastation, our country has witnessed over 490 mass shootings – including 83 school shootings – this year alone. It’s clear that nothing will convince Republican lawmakers to take action on gun violence – not almost 500 mass shootings, no matter how deadly or horrifying they are. We’re sick of Republicans’ disgusting inaction and we refuse to let them get away with it any longer. That’s why BAWN is proud to be continuing the fight against the gun lobby’s handpicked cronies in Congress.
