BCJ: Gerrymandering Decided House Control [[link removed]]
Post-election analysis has shown this to be true, John: Unfair maps helped opponents of voting rights win a razor-thin majority. .
It's clear that control of the House of Representatives will matter greatly. Right now that control is very, very narrow. And it turns out to rest on a shaky foundation of gerrymandering and manipulated maps, all encouraged by the Supreme Court.
Analysis from the nonpartisan Brennan Center for Justice has found that " Republicans won a net 16-seat advantage due to manipulated maps drawn for party advantage. (Democrats garnered an edge in 7 seats through gerrymandering, but the GOP gained a total of 23 seats that way — hence, 16 seats.) " With such a close margin -- 220 to 215 -- it's clear that one party's 16-seat advantage via gerrymandering got them control.
Gerrymandered districts have long been a tool to silence voters and have been under fire for decades. It's time to put people's interests first and make sure that everyone is able to have their voice fairly heard.
We’re mobilizing a grassroots effort to fight rigged electoral maps across the country, and we need your help. Pitch in $25 or whatever you can right now so we can fund this critical work and protect the voice of the people in our elections >> [[link removed]]

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
