1) Still Room at the Inn

The new 2024 Census count for states was just released and it shows a giant surge in immigration. 

In 2022, adding humanitarian migrants (refugees and asylum-seekers) increased international net migration from 999,000 to 1,693,000, an increase of 69.5%. In 2023, the increase was from 1,135,000 to 2,290,000, or 101.7%. The 2024 figure of 2,786,000 included humanitarian migrants.

What’s not known with any precision - and what angers voters - is how many of the new entrants were illegal immigrants. A recent Goldman Sachs estimate puts the number at around 60%.

We do know that LEGAL immigrants are helping America avoid the demographic time bomb that is bringing rapid declines in population in many of the other Western and Asian industrialized nations.
 

2) The South Rises Again, Again

Here's what the liberal Brennan Center projects the 2030 map will look like if the trend in the last two years continues for the rest of the decade:
 

If this trend holds up, then Democrats could sweep the so-called "Blue Wall" states in the Midwest (which turned into a red wall this year), but the GOP would still win the presidency by a comfortable margin. Demographics is working against the Left especially as more Hispanics vote for more right-leaning policies.

Trump’s EPA can probably reverse this.  But this is another sign of how wacky California has become, that they aim to deny 40 million people the opportunity to buy cars they want. What’s next? Will California pols ban air conditioners, lawnmowers, gas stoves, and air travel?

It’s another sign of how dangerously Stalinist the left and their green allies have become. 

We thought these "soak the rich" hypocrites had folded up shop after being embarrassed by UP at their "tax us more!" presser.  We asked them to sign a pledge to voluntarily pay extra taxes, and they refused.
 

But no, they are still around. Their new project, believe it or not, is a campaign begging Biden to pardon Chaz Littlejohn.  He's the criminal who stole up to 15 years of tax returns from an estimated 50,000 taxpayers, and sent them to the New York Times and ProPublica (the liberal activist organization founded by subprime billionaire Herb Sandler).
 

Littlejohn got a sweetheart deal to plead guilty on just a single charge to cover his thousands of crimes, but the judge was critical of the deal and imposed the maximum five-year sentence. Frankly, he still got off light given the scope of his crimes. A pardon would be scandalous and invite more leftist subversive activity like this – which is why it will probably happen.

The irony is that it’s illegal activities like this that build the very distrust in public institutions that the left always moans about. If Americans don’t believe their financial privacy is protected by the IRS, there will be far MORE tax avoidance. 

We think Trump should go in the opposite direction and investigate which federal crimes ProPublica committed by their acceptance and ongoing use of these stolen documents to promote their pro-tax agenda.
