Athletes want to hear from you

Hi there —

We are so grateful that so many people have sent notes of encouragement this week! I wanted to check in and see if you’ve filled out a card to send to athletes yet? I know your words would mean the world to them — will you help us?

A quick note, a poem, or even a few paragraphs will help us cheer on Special Olympics athletes at home and help keep them motivated during this challenging time. In a few days, we will share some of the most powerful messages we received.

Can you help us get to 1,000 encouraging messages for athletes?

Thank you, we will look out for your note,

Nick Morgan
Manager, Donor Relations

Like many of you, athletes across the globe are social distancing at home. It’s tough, for our athletes. Their sense of community at Special Olympics has now been replaced with loneliness and isolation.

Our athletes want to be out on the field sinking that game-winning shot, working on their backstroke in the pool with their favorite coach, or making plans with their friends for the weekend after practice.

We can’t let athletes feel forgotten. That’s why we need your help. Will you sign our card to athletes letting them know that we haven’t forgotten about them and we won’t let them feel isolated?

Send a message!

Following these simple steps can create smiles across your community and beyond. Don’t you want to be part of that?

  1. Click any link to go to our card page
  2. Write your message of encouragement and support
  3. Click Submit!

And you’re done. In a few days, we will display some of our favorite well wishes so athletes in our Special Olympics community can see.

Hope to see your name on there,
