2024 was a big year for CREW. The year started with us going to the Supreme Court to ask them to enforce the 14th Amendment of the Constitution and remove Donald Trump from the ballot after two Colorado courts found him to be an insurrectionist.
Let me say that again: We took Donald Trump to the Supreme Court .
And that was only the start of the year. CREW took unprecedented actions this year in our continuing fight to defend our democracy.
We called on Justices Alito and Thomas to resign from the Supreme Court for their conflicts of interest. We sued the DOJ for the records of Matt Gaetz’s criminal investigation. We filed an amicus brief calling for Judge Cannon to be reassigned from the Trump classified documents case. We went to court in Georgia to fight bogus last-minute election rule changes. We analyzed more than 13,000 of Trump’s posts on Truth Social to identify patterns like his fixation on weaponizing the justice system against his political enemies. We broke the news about Trump’s mysterious disappearing South Korean debt—and his new Mexican trademark application.
This year, we were able to accomplish all that and more because of our dedicated supporters like you, John. And we couldn’t be more grateful.
