Democrats Crush Trump-Backed Spending Bill |
Congress rejected a Trump and Elon Musk-backed spending bill on Thursday, dragging the government closer to its first shutdown since 2019. The proposal was far less bloated than the package Joe Biden supports, consisting of 116 pages rather than 1,547. Unlike the first proposal, the 116-page version did not include a raise for politicians.
The government will shut down if lawmakers fail to reach an agreement by tonight. Read more.

VANCE: Dems Want “Global Censorship Bulls**t” |
JD Vance accosted Democrats for voting against the MAGA coalition’s spending bill on Thursday, accusing them of wanting to shut down the government to reduce Donald Trump’s negotiating leverage during the beginning of his term. “The Democrats just voted to shut down the government, even though we had a clean [continuing resolution], because they didn’t want to give the president negotiating leverage during [the first year of his new term]. And number two, because they would rather shut down the government and fight for global censorship bulls**t. They’ve asked for a shutdown, and I think that’s exactly what they’re going to get.”
Opposing liberal lawmakers behaved like a mob of school bus-riding elementary school students upon receiving the proposal, reportedly chanting “hell no, hell no” instead of doing their jobs. These people make six figures. Read more. |
Is Mike Johnson on His Way Out? |
Donald Trump fell far short of endorsing Mike Johnson to remain House speaker on Thursday, expressing justified frustration over the Louisiana congressman pushing his enormously inefficient spending bill as his way to prevent a government shutdown. “We’ll see,” the president-elect reportedly said when asked if he maintains confidence in Johnson. “What they had yesterday was unacceptable. In many ways it was unacceptable. It’s a Democrat trap."
The American people elected Trump to stop this exact kind of wasteful, pork-barrel legislation. They seek a future in which the government stops excessively wasting taxpayer dollars on expenses that do not improve the American people’s lives. Raises for politicians are prime examples.
Johnson has had a choppy and inconsistent time as speaker of the House. He entered the role as a purported America First proponent but immediately morphed into a Ukraine war hawk. Many suspect the Deep State is blackmailing him. Read more.

Court Disqualifies Fani Willis from Trump Case |
A state appeals court ruled that Fani Willis has “no authority to proceed” with the Georgia election interference case against Donald Trump on Thursday, citing an “appearance of impropriety” that threatened the integrity of the proceedings. “This is the rare case in which disqualification is mandated and no other remedy will suffice to restore public confidence in the integrity of these proceedings,” the court ruled. Willis’ office quickly asked the state’s supreme court to review the decision.
The ruling is Trump’s latest victory against Democrat attempts to turn him into American history’s most high-profile political prisoner. In the past two months, both Willis and Jack Smith have seen their cases against the president-elect turned on their heads. Although this decision does not end the Georgia case, it puts its future entirely up in the air.
Trump reportedly reacted to the news by saying the "whole case has been a disgrace to justice… Everybody should receive an apology, including those wonderful patriots who have been caught up in this for years." Read more.

Pentagon Admits to Fudging Troop Deployment Numbers |
The Pentagon revealed on Thursday that it is currently deploying roughly 2,000 American troops in Syria, blowing its previously-stated estimate of 900 out of the water. "We have been briefing you regularly that there are approximately 900 U.S. troops deployed to Syria," a spokesperson told reporters. "In light of the situation in Syria, and in significant interest, we’ve recently learned that those numbers were higher." Syria is in a state of severe turmoil, facing leadership uncertainty as it enters its post-Assad era. As Donald Trump recently said, the United States should stay away from the conflict. It is not our fight. Joe Biden should bring American troops stationed in the turbulent nation home for Christmas. Read more.

Harris Set to Score Enormous Book Deal |
Publishers are reportedly offering failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris up to $20 million for the exclusive rights to her future book. According to a Harris insider, "Virtually the moment Kamala lost to Trump, the offers began pouring in from the publishing world for her to do the definitive book” on all of the Democrats’ 2024 election gossip: the dynamic between Harris and Joe Biden, what went wrong in her campaign, and more. Streaming giant Netflix is also reportedly interested in working with Harris once she exits the vice presidency. $20 million would be quite the win for Harris. Most people are not rewarded with a seven-figure payday after miserably failing at their stated goal. If Harris is worth $20 million after losing every single swing state, one can only imagine how much publishers would have gifted her if the election had been remotely competitive. Read more.

Democrat Fundraiser Mocks Harris’s 2028 Ambitions |
DNC fundraiser Lindy Li scorned her party’s visions of a Kamala Harris comeback on Thursday, arguing that the vice president’s dreadful 2024 performance should rule out the possibility of her reclaiming the Democratic nomination in 2028. "This is not what America wants. November 5th was a decisive defeat for the Democratic Party. She lost every single swing state. It wasn't a squeaker like it was in 2016. This was a resounding defeat…,” Li said during a televised interview. “We do not want Kamala Harris. We don't want failed border policies, and I feel like I'm liberated and I can finally tell the truth…”
The truth is that Harris was never actually a good candidate. Her 2020 campaign failed to survive until the first caucus, her vice presidency will go down as one of the worst in history, and Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi reportedly dreaded the idea of their party handing Harris its 2024 nomination with no competition. Once it did give her the reins, she dodged interviews, cackled through speeches, and refused to adequately articulate her policy views. The American people deserved better. Li also called her party “a cult,” which it is. Read more.

MSNBC Gives Anchors a Choice: Take Pay Cuts or Lose Your Shows |
Desperate times have fallen upon MSNBC. According to reports, network executives recently told election-trauma-ridden hosts Joy Reid and Stephanie Ruhle that they must accept pay cuts in order to keep their nighttime shows. Reid and Ruhle each reportedly earn seven figures for their gigs.
Sources say Morning Joe co-host Jonathan Lemire is also facing a salary reduction, and the network’s biggest star, Rachel Maddow, received a $5 million trim earlier this year. Ironically, Maddow is probably the only reason the channel remains afloat.
According to Ruhle, Donald Trump told her to “go f**k [herself]” when she asked him for an interview in October. Based on the ratings, America’s news consumers appear to agree with the president-elect’s sentiment. Read more.

Mangione Could Face Death Penalty |
Authorities unsealed new, federal charges against Luigi Mangione on Thursday, elevating the case against the alleged CEO murderer and making him eligible for the death penalty. In addition to his state-level indictment, Mangione now faces charges of murder with a firearm, stalking, and illegal gun possession. Federal prosecutors reportedly pursued their own case to ensure the 26-year-old Ivy League graduate’s eligibility for execution. Capital punishment is a legal penalty in 27 American states but can be applied throughout the country at the federal level. The practice remains more common than most people likely realize. An Indiana man convicted of quadruple murder died by lethal injection earlier this week. Read more.

If guilty, Luigi Mangione deserves to spend the rest of his days in prison. Anyone who purposely takes a human life should never walk free again. Independent of the need for justice, such a man poses too much of a public safety threat to ever return to America’s streets. The accused CEO killer is not a heroic figure. He is a villain. That will remain true no matter how many Nintendo-costume-donning protestors rally in his defense. As we wrote last week, “He is smug, lazy, and ultimately, a groveling coward.” With that being said, the government’s apparent aim to have him sentenced to death is a disturbing and destructive objective.
In addition to being nonsensical and hypocritical, the idea that we must kill killers to prove that killing is wrong is emblematic of modern American leadership’s tragic disregard for the sanctity of human life. We see this in foreign, immigration, and domestic policy. Permanent Washington has spent the past three years fervently funding the war in Eastern Europe, cheering on the slaughter of an entire generation of Ukrainian men. Fentanyl overdoses kill tens of thousands of Americans each year, but the government actively works to make it easier for people to smuggle those deadly drugs across the Southern border. And since the turn of the century, the left has transformed its abortion rhetoric from describing the deadly procedure as “safe and rare” to telling women to “shout your abortion.”
It’s not clear what’s behind this shift, but it’s remodeling America away from its religious roots and instead in the image of a frightening death cult. We must reverse course.
Abolishing capital punishment would be a logical first step. No matter what heinous acts a person may commit, they are still human. And judging them is up to God, not their fellow man.

December 20, 1699: Russian Tsar Peter the Great changes the Russian New Year from September 1st to January 1st. The reform was designed to align Russia with “many European Christian nations” by switching the country to a calendar system based on the birth of Christ. If not for this change, Russia would currently view itself as being in the year 7,532. |
