Friends, I'm horrified. There are a number of secret Facebook groups where people have been making threats against Governor Whitmer.

This is sickening. This is a democracy, founded on conversation and compromise -- not threats and intimidation.

But with Trump spewing disinformation and praising these same extremists as "very good people", it's no wonder why this hate is brewing.

I won't stand for this. If you believe Gov. Whitmer deserves our thanks and respect -- sign the petition to renounce this hate and stand with Gretchen. If we get 7,500 signatures, we'll more than DOUBLE the number of protesters who have come out so far!

Gov. Whitmer is following the best advice of public health experts -- she's trying to save lives. Michigan is suffering more than most states, and we cannot afford to abandon efforts to contain this pandemic.

But these extreme protesters don't care about the potential loss of life. That's why we can't let them and their divider-in-chief Trump get away with this -- unlike them, we care about looking out for each other in our community.
