In response to the stated Israeli government plans to unilaterally annex West Bank territory, PA President Mahmoud Abbas has declared that all agreements and understandings with the American and Israeli governments, including security-related, would cease.
In response to the formation of Israel’s new government, which is officially committed to annexing parts of the West Bank, APN and seven other member organizations of the Progressive Israel Network released a statement in strong opposition to the stated intention to annex. APN is one of 50 organizations from 17 countries who have signed on to the J-Link International Progressive Jewish Network's statement of opposition to Israeli annexation in the West Bank, and to commit to take immediate action to convince the government and people of Israel that the price to be paid for annexation will be too heavy for Israel to bear.
