Last week, the House of Representatives passed the HEROES Act, an expansive plan that builds on the groundwork laid by previous coronavirus relief packages and seeks to ease the damaging health and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s now up to the Senate to take action—and children across the country don’t have another minute to wait.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has indicated he wants to hit “pause” on additional COVID-19 legislation. Our nation’s children, whose needs are growing more urgent each day, cannot afford a “pause” on lifesaving assistance. They need help before it's too late.
