Friend,
“The pediatric department is overcrowded with sick children,” says Dr. Mohammad Abu Tayyem, a Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) pediatrician. “And the figures continue to rise.”
Right now, MSF teams are treating an overwhelming number of children and infants for infectious diseases, respiratory diseases, and skin diseases at Nasser Hospital in Gaza after more than a year of relentless violence and war.
Dr. Abu Tayyem’s team helps to treat over 300 children at Nasser Hospital every day who are struggling with severe health issues. MSF is responding to these growing needs by supporting the pediatric emergency room, as well as the pediatric and newborn intensive care units. As colder temperatures set in, the most vulnerable in Gaza, especially children and newborns, are facing ever-increasing medical needs.
MSF teams are working around the clock to save lives in Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine, and in more than 70 countries around the world. Until December 31, every dollar you give will be TRIPLED, meaning your impact will go three times as far.
