John,

Public outrage over private insurance companies and our broken, for-profit
healthcare system is currently at a high — and we can understand why.

The United States is the only high-income country in the world without
universal healthcare. To make matters worse, we spend more than most
countries on healthcare, yet our health outcomes like life expectancy and
infant mortality rate are worse.

People are sick and tired of arguing with insurance companies to cover the
care they need, waiting months on end to see providers, and ending up in
heaps of medical debt while insurers, hospitals, and Big Pharma rake in
historic profits. A new poll backs this up:

highest percentage in over a decade, say it’s the federal government’s
responsibility to ensure all Americans have healthcare coverage, according
to new Gallup polling.

It’s clear: our country is long overdue for a universal, single-payer
healthcare system that guarantees care and coverage for everyone,
regardless of their income level — which would be created through Medicare
for All.

Justice Democrats’ Rep. Pramila Jayapal is a cosponsor of the Medicare for
All bill in Congress, and every one of our members supports it. But with
corporate Democrats abandoning their commitment to Medicare for All over
the past few years, we need to elect more working-class, progressives to
Congress if we’re going to have enough MFA champions to pass it into law!

Democratic establishment in 2026: help us find and support them with a
grassroots donation of $5 or more now.

Too many Democrats in power take campaign contributions from the
healthcare industry and its lobbyists. We need to change that if we’re
going to pass Medicare for All, transform our broken system, and finally
achieve healthcare justice in the United States.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
