Friends,

Do you remember when Donald Trump stood in front of a crowd in Michigan in 2016 and addressed Americans of color in a bid for their vote? Trump focused specifically on African-Americans, asking, “What the hell do you have to lose?”

Unfortunately, we know the answer to that now -- and they have lost a lot.

Trump and the GOP have threatened the jobs, the safety, and the living conditions of African-Americans and people of color across the country. In response, House Democrats have presented the HEROES Act, which would work to repair the damage done by providing hazard pay, eviction protection, and direct cash relief to the Americans who need it.

But Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he just doesn’t feel any urgency to act. When Republicans ignore the facts, it doesn’t just make them look bad. It hurts underserved communities in ways they may never recover from. And with the country’s re-opening set to hurt frontline workers -- who are disproportionately of color -- the most, we need you to step up where our leadership has failed. Please, stand with us:

Should the Senate act now to protect the hardest hit communities?

YES   NO
