John,
The other night, the House passed a $3 trillion relief bill to provide urgent aid to women and families. This bill is a major step in the right direction – but it’s already under attack from Trump and Mitch McConnell.
We have a chance to draw a line in the sand, John. In a global pandemic, we will not allow partisan politics to get in the way of relief that workers and families need. That’s why we're asking every person reading this to send a message to Mitch McConnell right now.
We tracked down an email address for Mitch’s office and set up an easy-to-use form so that every person in this movement can send him an individual message. Please take a minute to send your message demanding that he bring the HEROES bill up for a vote.

The GOP is appalled that this bill:
- Makes it easier for people to vote-by-mail
- Provides some federal assistance for immigrants
- Gives much needed aid to the essential U.S. Postal Service
We know that Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump are more interested in bailing out corporations and their ‘Billionaire Boys Club’ cronies than supporting women, families, and workers. But we will not go down without a fight, John.
For years, Mitch has gotten away blocking legislation that would move forward the fight for equality, address the gender pay gap, and would have prevented the scale of crisis we face today.
This is our chance to hold Mitch accountable for his disastrous record in the Senate and make sure he does the right thing for once and passes the HEROES Act.
It’s going to be an uphill battle, so we need all hands on deck to help out and make sure Mitch knows that a whole lot of us are watching him (especially given that he’s up for re-election this November).
We are powerful when we act together, John. If enough of us send messages, we could make Mitch reconsider his decision on this bill – or at the very least, let him know that we’ll remember this moment come November.
Please send a message to Mitch McConnell now to let him know that women across the country will remember what he does in this moment. We demand that the Senate pass the HEROES Act as written NOW.
We can’t afford to waste time playing political games. We are experiencing the worst unemployment crisis since the Great Depression and women, especially women of color, are being hit the hardest.1
It’s going to take a nationwide, united effort to make sure the Senate listens to our demands and passes the HEROES Act without add-ons for their corporate friends.
But together we can win.
