The United States Postal Service is in trouble, John.

Congress has approved a $10 billion emergency loan to keep the Post Office afloat -- but Donald Trump is holding the loan hostage to attempt a hostile takeover of USPS operations.

Trump even appointed his former campaign fundraiser the USPS’s new Postmaster General to carry out his hostile takeover from the inside.

Now, the letter carriers union is sounding the alarm. According to new projections, the USPS will run out of money at the end of September without additional funding -- that’s just weeks before the general election. An election that will need to be conducted, in large part, by mail.

Congress has to act to stop Trump from destroying the USPS and sabotaging the 2020 election in the process. Add your name if you agree that Congress must pass new emergency legislation with mandatory funding to save the Postal Service now >>

The United States Postal Service is an essential part of American society. We’re dependent on mail carriers for medicine, supplies, and the ability to safely exercise our constitutional right to vote.

If Trump gets his way, he’ll dismantle the Postal Service to boost private profits and sabotage our ability to conduct a free and fair election this fall.

This isn’t just conjecture. Trump himself has said he’s opposed to vote-by-mail because “for whatever reason, it doesn’t work out well for Republicans.” He knows that if everyone has the opportunity to safely cast their ballot this year, he will lose.

Congress has to act immediately to stop him. Add your name to call on Congress to pass emergency legislation fully funding the USPS right now >>

Thanks for all you do. Together, we’re going to defeat Donald Trump and elect progressives up and down the ticket. But it’s going to take all of us.
